The Fire Nation is surprisingly temperate despite its tropical latitude. Two areas also have a warm summer variant (Koppen Csb). A smaller area of the northern Fire Nation has this climate as well. It's rather interesting that the most prolific climate type in Avatar is the Hot Summer Mediterranean Climate, (Koppen Csa). Other than the fact that the climates don't really make any sense due to the world's topography, I did the best I can to map real-life Koppen climate types to their approximate latitudes.
